Activities

Covenant Discipleship Men’s Group Breakfast: This group meets at the Ray’s Restaurant in York Springs every other Saturday at 7:00 AM. They enjoy fellowship and a time for renewing their covenant, seeking to be the men God has called them to be.  For more information see Jerry McCauslin.

Lunch Bunch:  Open to all seniors! The group meets the second Friday of each month at 11:30 AM at Rene’s Dinner in East Berlin. It is a time of good Christian fellowship while enjoying lunch. Lead by Darlene Heebner.

Prayer Meeting:  Everyone is invited to the Prayer Meetings every first and third Sunday evening of the month at 7:00 PM. People can pray alone or with the group in the sanctuary, prayer room, prayer garden, or wherever they feel most comfortable spending time with God. We are a community of Christians who believe in the power of prayer. For more information see Jane McCauslin.

Ministries

Food Ministry:  The local churches team up with New Hope Ministries to serve our community with a mobile food pantry. New Hope brings a mobile trailer to YSUMC the third Wednesday of each month from 3:00 – 4:00 pm for those in need.  Volunteers are needed from each church and are asked to arrive at 2:00 pm.  See Pastor Trish for more information.

Ruth’s Harvest packs food bags for students at Bermudian Springs Elementary and Middle Schools. Each month, the local churches collect commercially pre-packaged individual servings (8 oz. or less) to pack for the children over long weekends. YSUMC collects raisins, macaroni & cheese, and juice boxes. Donations can be dropped off in our church hallway.

Monthly Missions:  Each month, we  select one organization to financially support through giving above and beyond our regular tithing.

Salvation Army: York Springs UMC is a service secretary for the Salvation Army serving York Springs, Idaville, Gardners and Aspers. Those in need may receive funds to assist during emergency situations.
