Adult Studies are on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM and range from 3 week studies to 6 week studies and run fall through spring. For more information see Pastor Trish Guise.
Young Adults (ages 18-35) meet every Tuesday at 7pm at the pastor’s home for a Bible Study and fellowship.
Covenant Discipleship Men’s Group Breakfast: This group meets at the Ray’s Restaurant in York Springs every other Saturday at 7:00 AM. They enjoy fellowship and a time for renewing their covenant, seeking to be the men God has called them to be. For more information see Jerry McCauslin.
Lunch Bunch: Open to all seniors! The group meets the second Friday of each month at 11:30 AM at Rene’s Dinner in East Berlin. It is a time of good Christian fellowship while enjoying lunch. Lead by Darlene Heebner.
Prayer Meeting: Everyone is invited to the Prayer Meetings every first and third Sunday evening of the month at 7:00 PM. People can pray alone or with the group in the sanctuary, prayer room, prayer garden, or wherever they feel most comfortable spending time with God. We are a community of Christians who believe in the power of prayer. For more information see Jane McCauslin.
Food Ministry: The local churches team up with New Hope Ministries to serve our community with a mobile food pantry. New Hope brings a mobile trailer to YSUMC the third Wednesday of each month from 3:00 – 5:00 pm for those in need. Volunteers are needed from each church and are asked to arrive at 2:00 pm. See Pastor Trish for more information.
Community Aid Bin: By donating your clothing to Community Aid, our local community benefits. All items collected in our bin go to the Community Aid Thrift Store in Hanover where they employ workers and give back to the community financially. YSUMC also gets clothing vouchers to give to those in need from our area to shop at the Hanover thrift store.
Ruth’s Harvest packs food bags for students at Bermudian Springs Elementary and Middle Schools. Each month, the local churches collect commercially pre-packaged individual servings (8 oz. or less) to pack for the children over long weekends. YSUMC collects raisins, macaroni & cheese, and juice boxes. Donations can be dropped off in our church hallway.
Monthly Missions: Each month, we select one organization to financially support through giving above and beyond our regular tithing.
Salvation Army: York Springs UMC is a service secretary for the Salvation Army serving York Springs, Idaville, Gardners and Aspers. Those in need may receive funds to assist during emergency situations.
